For the price we paid, the value was really good. The room was spacious and we hardly noticed there were other guests. The location was fantastic, with beautiful views from the windows, and there was even a cozy pub next door. The staff were friendly and we seemed like we made new friends.
The breakfast option could be improved with better coffee.

We had an amazingly warm welcome at the reception and the whole hostel has a really cozy and friendly atmosphere - I feel that it's a great place to meet new people and make new friends. the common areas have a really nice atmosphere as well. Staff is friendly and very helpful, easy to check in. Although it is a bit of a walk out of the main city center, it means it is quieter. All the usual things seem to be provided, like a desktop for basic computing and breakfast for a small fee. the location is just next to the castle and you're free to use the kitchen and help yourself to a hot drink. I loved this place!
Nothing that I didn't like. 😊.

The hostel is conveniently located near major attractions and amenities. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. the communal areas are well laid out and provide a comfortable atmosphere to relax. the rooms are clean and the beds, although a bit hard, come with cozy duvets and sheets. the kitchen is well-equipped and the free coffee, hot chocolate, and tea are a nice touch.
There have been security issues reported, such as letting an intoxicated individual stay in an occupied dorm, leading to discomfort for the guests.

I had a fantastic stay at Inverness Student Hostel! The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to assist with recommendations. The hostel is well-equipped and made me feel right at home after weeks of travelling. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the location is perfect, and the staff was so understanding when I overslept past check-out time. Oh, and the bonus was enjoying my morning coffee to the beats of DMX playing in the background. Can't ask for more!
Would definitely recommend this hostel!

Had an amazing time at this hostel! The beds were super comfortable and the common areas were cozy and inviting. I loved meeting new people and the kitchen was well-equipped with personal food boxes. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the city center and with stunning views of the castle and river. Plus, the hostel offered free parking for guests!
That there were limited USB charging ports in the dorm rooms. It was a bit inconvenient for those on the top levels of the bunk beds and on the opposite side of the room.

We were amazed by the cozy and home-like atmosphere of the hostel. The old house charm made us feel like we were staying at our grandmother's place, and the rooms were spacious enough to accommodate a large number of people without feeling crowded. The hostel's location was also perfect, with fine views from the windows and a lovely pub right next door. Despite a few minor inconveniences, such as a small bathroom and limited kitchen access, the overall experience was good. The hot water worked well, and there were comfortable common areas where we could relax and socialize. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay more fun. We highly recommend this hostel for a cozy and cute experience.
